sonny  was  born  and  raised  in  shadyside.  despite  not  living  in  the  best  circumstances,  along  with  residents  being  murdered,  sonny  always  had  a  positive  attitude.  doing  her  best  to  bring  light  to  people  and  situations.  during  the  summers,  she'd  be  a  camp  counselor  and  take  over  both  music  and  arts  and  crafts.  even  though  the  camp  was  divided  by  sunnyvalers  and  shadysiders,  sonny  was  known  as  the  mother  hen  of  the  camp  grounds.  she  didn't  care  what  side  people  were  from.  if  anyone  needed  a  friend,  she  was  there.  even  allowing  people  to  come  to  her  cabin  if  they  just  needed  someone  to  talk  to. 

fast and the furious

sonny is the cousin of letty and didn't even know about what her cousin was up to. especially considering she was much younger than the other and they lived states away. letty was sonny's favorite cousin growing up that they would be on the phone almost everyday.

as she got older and moved to california to live her dream on a show, she thought she would actually spend some time with letty. but that didn't happen.

sonny continued with her life until she saw one day on the news, her cousin's face. wanted as terrorists. it nearly shook her to her core and quickly tried to find answers. that was when she drove to the neighborhood letty grew up and searched for some answers.

outside of the current franchise: sonny began to go to street races when she practically forced her way into her cousin's life. getting to know her cousin's made family and learning more about cars. when they needed some help in the hollywood scene, sonny's got them covered.
